Complete High School Maize teacher wins prestigious national award
President Trump announced on Oct. 15 that Complete High School Maize teacher Heidi Albin was among the nationwide winners of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. She traveled to Washington, D.C. to be honored as one of the best in the country.
According to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the award "is the highest award given by the U.S. Government to kindergarten through 12th grade teachers of mathematics and science, including computer science." Heidi was one of four recipients from Kansas.
