Maize USD 266 has produced a district-level needs assessment, and each school building has done the same to identify common barriers students face and recommendations for improvement. This process, now required by Kansas state statute, will guide district leaders and the Maize Board of Education to take actions to address and remove those barriers for student success. Nationally recognized early childhood education Maize Parents as Teachers, which is a program at the Maize Early Childhood Center, was awarded the Blue Ribbon as the result of their dedicated teamwork, strategic planning, and passionate service to the Maize community.
