My career in education started as a paraprofessional in the Maize district in 1996 when I was an undergraduate at Wichita State University. Through this experience, I learned that Maize was a top-notch school district and a place that I would love to call home.
After graduation, I was hired as a 5th grade teacher at Maize East Elementary. I taught 5th and 6th grade for six years and then had the opportunity to move to Maize Elementary as an Instructional Technology Coach for five years. In 2009 I was named the Pray-Woodman Elementary Assistant Principal and served the students and staff of PWS until May 2015.
Since August 2015 I have been honored to be the VES Principal and work with your awesome students and such an outstanding staff. My wife, Andrea, is a counselor at Maize Central Elementary. We have a son, Wilson, who is a current Maize student.
